My goal is to develop computational systems that exploit and discover structure.

I am currently working on my PhD at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. I am interested in research that advances robotics and the ability of AI to understand the world and make decisions. My work focuses on combining deep learning methods with symbolic components to create computational systems that learn quickly, and are reusable and scalable.

Prior to starting grad school, I majored in Computer Science at UNAM’s Faculty of Sciences and studied music composition at UNAM’s Faculty of Music.
